Malaria

Malaria is a worldwide epidemic. Malaria occurs in 100 countries worldwide, with special occurences in developing countries such as Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Given that this disease is acquired through insects, it is much easier to be transmitted from person to person, state to state, country to country. 

Anti-Malarial Drugs

Anti-Malrial drugs are given to prevent and treat malaria. Some Anti-Malarial drugs are Chloroquine, Malarone, Doxycycline,and Mefloquine. Although these drugs may have negative side effects such as stomach upset and blurred vision, they serve primarily to better health conditions admist malaria. 

​​Insecticide-Treated Mosquito Nets



These nets have been created to control Malaria. If the root of the problem; insects, can be avoided then there is a solution present. Through these nets, Insects are able to stay away from human flesh which is where Malaria transmission occurs. Incidence over the past decades have fallen due to this new technology.
